Sorry about last Saturday (1st November) Edinburgh Farmers Market was cancelled at the last minute so Robert went to Glasgow instead. We will be back in Edinburgh from 6th to 10th December at the Edinburgh Ethical Christmas Fayre at the junction of Princes Street and Castle Street. We will also be at Edinburgh Farmers Market on the 13th and 20th of December, 24th January, 14th February, and 14th March.

We are trying out some new markets in November:

8th November we will be at the Stirling Farmers Market, which takes place from 9.00 till 2.00 in Maxwell Place.

15th November we'll be at Greenock farmers Market in Clyde Square from 10.00 till 2.00.

16th November we'll be at Loch Lomand Shores Market at Balloch from 10.00 till 3.00.

22nd November we'll be at Partick Farmers Market 10.00 till 2.00.

29th November we'll be at Stirling Christmas Market in Port Street from 10.00 till 4.00.

We sell all our products at various farmers markets in Scotland (see above for future dates and locations). The grow-your-own kits are also currently available from the Lochaber Farm shop (at Aonoch Mor, Lochaber),and the Strontian Village Stores.

The kits are clean and easy to use, enabling you to produce mushrooms in your home within 4 to 6 weeks(for a 6-week incubation kit) or within a week (for the ready-to-pop kit). Check out the Fungi Perfecti website (click on indoor mushroom patches and scroll down)to see an example of how a block produces shiitake mushrooms.

Our grow-your-own blocks are also available from ‘Ardnamushrooms’ via mail order. The cost of one 6 week grow-your-own organic mushroom kit direct from us is £7 (plus £7.00 p&p.)and the ready-to-pop kit is £9 (plus £7.00 p&p).

Each kit weighs 2 - 2½ kg so postage is expensive. P&p for one kit is £7, for two kits is £10 and for three kits is £11.50. P&p for 4 kits is £12.50 and for 5 or 6 kits is £15.00.

Our kits are also for sale on the West Highland Crafts website which has a paypal and credit/debit card facility should you wish to pay by that method.

At present we sell shiitake grow-your-own kits, but we are ‘home testing’ oyster and Lion’s mane mushroom kits and expect to have them for sale in 2008.

Our fresh shiitake are currently available for sale at the Lochaber Farm shop(at Aonoch Mor, Lochaber), the Strontian Village Stores and through Macleod Organics, a box scheme near Inverness. They are also served at a number of different restaurants within Lochaber.

Our dried shiitake are available from the Lochaber Farm shop, and the Ariundle Centre in Strontian.
